Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Looks like we lost the weight up-date discussion some how.
I enjoyed checking into it every now and then, so I decided to make a vol. 2.
Charlie was 13.7lb @ 10 1/2 wks, 19.7lb @ 15wks, 22.3 lb @ 16 wks, 30lb @ 23 wks, and now 35lb @ 27 wks.

Riley was
9 lbs @ 8 wks,
24 lbs @ 15 weeks,
27 lbs @ 16 weeks,
34 lbs @4 1/2 Months,
42 lbs @ 5 1/2 months
and now is 49lbs @ 6 1/2 months.

I am pretty sure the part where he is supposed to be between 50-55 pounds full grown is not going to happen :)
Our Daisy hit her maximum weight at 6 months.
She held steady at 35 lbs for five months.
Since we added a new puppy 2 weeks ago she has lost 1 1/2 lbs.
Not sure if it's the additional activity or too much commotion to eat regularly.

The new puppy was 12+ lbs when she came home at 10 weeks; 15+lbs at 11 weeks and 19 lbs last night at 12 weeks. (Daisy was 9.8 lbs at 12 weeks.) The breeder's normal range for her females is 35-45 lbs. Looks like we're going to have both extremes covered.
I would like to add HEIGHT to volume 2!

I found weights hard to visualize but height I could measure and compare my dog with other dogs growth. So, at 6.5 months or 28 weeks. Spud is 42lbs and 22 inches at the withers.

Thanks Kyoko or taking the initiative and restarting the puppy growth and weight update discussion.
You are welcome!
That's a great idea to add the height! Thanks!
I don't know how tall Charlie is.... I how to measure her....
It is the measurement from the shoulder to the floor. Here is a picture a a horse being measured at the withers.

Couldn't find a "dog" picture, but we get the idea.
Why none of my children have ruler or measurement tape when I need them?
When you do finally get a ruler, the dog won't hold still long enough. LOL GOOD LUCK
I use the clicker extension (the purple one I can also use to point) and then measure with the tape measure. For some reason the tape measure is like monster)
Hey! I think that's a picture of my dog, Hunter! I don't remember taking that one of him! LOL! Hunter is 30 in and weighs 95 lbs. So...ya see, horse :-) Daisy is 23 in and she's on the chunky side of 67 lbs. She is currently on a diet as we speak. Her nickname has been "chunky monkey" and we just can't have that :-) Oh, and both Hunter and Daisy are 15 months old.
I have one of those tall "horsey" guys also.  My goldendoodle, Groucho Too, is 30 inches tall and weighs about 85 pounds.
Macey is 55 lbs at 9 months (and has been right around this weight for close to two months!!).
This is interesting. Angel is around 50 lbs. and hasn't grown much more in height since 6.5 months. I will have to measure her height, but several people tell me she might not grow much taller after 7 months.
