What to do on a HOT day and the coming HOTTER days?!

Hi everyone!

It's 95 degrees out the last two days and Cooper does not want anything to do with it and I don't blame him with all that fur. Lol. He'll stay out for no more than 5 mins and then ask to come back in.

Can you please give me some ideas on what we can do indoor? I've done hide the treats in his toys, played tug of war, tricks with treats, and just playing together with his soft toys. He's usually up for about 2 hours so I need to keep him occupied for at least a good hour. I would long leash him for a short period too so he doesn't find/do things he is not supposed to. Some days it goes by so fast and some days it feels like the hour will never get here.

We don't get the hot weather like you do. But it does get hot. And humid. On those days Spike wants none of it either. We do get him cut short in the summer. That does help him. On the crazy hot days I make myself get up and get him outside to play before it gets super hot. And again after sunset. As far as hot weather games? Do you have a yard where you could buy a cheap kiddie pool from Walmart? That is the best investment I can think of. Every doodle I know LOVES the water :) they even have floaty toys for them to play with. Our pool is full of them.

Yes we do have a very good size yard! Funny one of my boys just mentioned about getting those small inflatable pool but I told him we can't because Cooper will probably puncture it. Lol. So you don't think he'll chew it up??? Oh I will definitely go get one this weekend then! Hhhmmm we are going to take Cooper in Grandparents pool for the first time this weekend so we'll see how he likes the water. If he does, I'll go get the mini plastic pool! :P thank you!!!!

I just ordered him the Dog Twister & Dog Tornado on Amazon. Lol

I would advise against inflatable! A puppy will make short work of it!

Oh no!!! I didn't mean inflatable!! I meant the plastic resin kiddie pools. Sometimes they have a little slide built in. I can try to find a picture of you want'

I think someone actually bought an inflatable pool last year. LOL.. It didn't last more than 10 minutes ;)

Here's an example. One of our stores carries a specific dog design. But there are all different sizes and styles. :)

Oh wow how fun!  It's about an hour drive out for us though.  Where exactly in Seal Beach?
