Okay are supposed have phased out of the puppy age, both girls are two and a half, but at what point does this stop????
Clearly someone(s) does not like the fact mommy is no longer on vacation and spending 24/7 with them and grandma is failing as a stand in!
Ever since I've come back to work we've come home to something, up till now it's been something from the backyard but today one of them climbed over the dog crate and pulled things from the shelf. Some of it was on the shelf below the top of the crate level so I have no idea how they got that????
NEVER have I had dogs so destructive. And we were doing so good??
Josie is acting very guilty, when we walk in before we say a word the ears go back, tail tucks and she flees the scene of the crime. Sassparilla on the other hand grabs a toy and is ready to play (butt wiggling, snorting and yeah mommies home see my toy, see my toy while shoving it in my face)??
I feel like Josie is the guilty party here because Sassy is always with a toy or ball in her mouth so I'm thinking of just crating Josie tomorrow, what are your thoughts? Sassy I know has the separation issues and just freaks when the crate door closes behind her but Josie seems fine with it. I'm wondering if Josie has Separation anxiety too and I just haven't clued into it or Sassy is stressing her out?? I'm hoping Sassy won't try to free her? My daughter gets home at 1-2 pm and can let her out? In all fairness I should have listened more closely to her given name; Nosie Josie! That nose is forever into something and she is a scavenger.
So do you think it's safe to crate one and not the other? Should I wait and do a test run this weekend? I need a nanny cam to see who the culprit is! lol

If you can crate one, I certainly would do so for about a week. This way you will know for sure who your instigator is which is good information to have.
Oh, I see that you did this today. Yay!
I always say better safe than sorry!
I am so sorry you year is not starting off well, I hope it begins to improve from here!
Well this is not starting out to be the happy new year it is supposed to be. For starters I've spent the last three weeks battling the cats health and now I had to take Josie in because of something she ate above! Since Friday she has been vomiting, Friday night we induced and she puked up about 2 cups of grass with a little food. Took her Saturday with me to the cats checkup and vet said if she's eating not to worry. Well Saturday she was eating and she picked at her food Sunday, I didn't pay close attention Sunday night because we got home late and I was tired (sometimes Sassy sneaks in and finishes it off). Monday she out right refused the morning meal which didn't concern me too much because she's not a fan of the dry kibble. Monday night the girls got the broth from our pot roast with meat chunks and nothing she looked at it and walked away. Okay Josie is an extreme food hound so I knew something was up. We tried giving her just the meat and NO! She acted like a pregnant woman with morning sickness, she didn't even want to be in the same room as the food!!!!!!! Every time I opened the fridge she'd leave the house! Okay so now I'm trying anything, her favorite dog treats, people food, even her favorite, popcorn, and once again nothing, she just looked at me like a deer in headlights and went to the backyard and hid under the swing????
Took her in first thing this morning, and they took x-rays and did some blood work. Vet is not as concerned about the object but the toxins that object can release damaging the kidneys, liver and/or pancreas? She got two shots there and they sent me home with an antibiotic and something to calm the tummy when she eats (give one hour before). My concern, but not so much theirs, was the blood on the thermometer??? In the x-ray we can see something small vet thinks it's either in the small intestines or stomach. She is not eating or drinking water at all? I'm trying to make chicken and I'll try feeding her that but I'm not hopeful.
I'll post this on the medical site too but if anyone has any feedback I am all ears. When Sassparilla had the pneumonia I picked up some cold packaged meat to help get her mass amount of pills down, they both loved it. Should I get that just to try to get her eating again??
She's moving about and doesn't appear to be in pain but she is kinda blah and not the annoying or cuddly little stinker that she usually is? Plus she's not cuddling with me a night which is really not like her either.
I put water next to me so I can watch her and I've asked my daughter to check the poops (its hard though with two dogs) and last to check belly for bloating. Would a warm compress help things move? Tomorrow I'll pick up some pediatric electrolytes and vet recommended Pepcid ac (had some but it's expired so don't want to risk it). She loves fresh baked butternut squash so I'll get a few of those tomorrow too. I put yogurt on her nose making her lick it, anything else?? Any tricks of the trade that might be helpful is greatly appreciated.
