Angel Got Her Wings Thursday Afternoon

My sweet girl Angel passed on Thursday afternoon.  She was 8.5 years old, and exhibited no symptoms whatsoever.  Thursday morning, she woke, went out to the backyard to bark at the dogs on the other side of the fence, chased a ball....I went to work, and when I came back she was stiff.  It looked like she had simply gone to sleep in her sun spot and just never woke up.  She had no symptoms, no foam around her mouth, no tongue hanging out, no feces or urine around her...nothing.  It's still hard for me to believe, and I know my Toby (her younger brother by a year) is missing her like crazy.  I made the mistake of talking to my friend about her yesterday, and every time I mentioned her name, Toby would light up! Last night, he kept pawing me, as if urging me to hurry up and go get her already.  I don't think he's realized she's never coming back.  

My heart breaks all over again watching him miss her so much.

Krista, I so feel for you. I'm sorry for your loss of Angel. Please give sweet Toby extra pets - we are wishing you comfort.
