Reggae looks like a ginger snap covered in sugar when he is snowy. I think we will be able to retrieve the snow ball photos from the camera card. They are very funny and the dogs look like Siberian musher dogs. It has been about zero or below for days on end here in MN.....and even though I never thought I'd say it from the dog in snow perspective the cold frigid snow is much easier to deal with then the wet stuff we'd have if it were warmer.

Dylan absolutely loves the cold and snow. On every outing he drops down and rolls in it with a deep heavy sigh. Both pups like to lay out on the snow bank and I am constantly rotating them so no one gets too cold.

I will work on getting the photos out and up!

Awww...Boo must have been just nice and gave the hat to his little sister:-)
Very cute pictures.
Melissa, waiting for the pictures of Dylan and Reggae with snow all over them...hope you got them:-) I can just imagine Reggae with all white balls over him:-)
I would love to do scissor cut on Berry...I just do not know how. Right now, I am very close to shaving her down...Actually we are both frustrated. Mane n' tail detangler helped a bit yesterday to get some knots out but I know it is painful for her tooo...she just turns and licks me when it hurts and makes me feel more guilty.

Hi all! Love reading all the littermate updates! Its hard to believe that one year ago our puppies were coming home! :)

Cricket had a good Christmas, she got some toys and chewies. She is matting too. I gave her a big haircut yesterday- I couldn’t take all the grooming anymore! Now she looks like a stick figure- big head and skinny body! Hahaha, oh well! Anyway, here are a few pics from the holidays (pre-haircut).

"Not the hat!!"

"Hey, where'd the hat go??"

"My santa hat!!"
"No, MY santa hat!!"

"I win!!"

Hi Everyone, We have taken to combing a section of Dylan's coat every night and I have upped the professional brushing to about every three weeks. Last week the guy combed out a bunch of what he called pin matts. He said they were from rolling in the snow....which I don't imagine will end anytime soon.

Armpits are Dylan's bad spot along with under his harness. His hair has a lot of silky to it so he combs pretty easily. I have also been cutting a little of his hair each night when he goes to bed. It is still long (about 4-6 in) and the hairdresser showed us a technique where you grasp a bunch, twist it and then use the thinning sheers to lop some off. When it drops it falls perfectly into formation with a layered look.

Reggae still has his puppy coat and it stands straight out at 4". He looks like a brown bear cub wearing a furry coat.

The camera conked out but I will post something soon. WOuld love to see your pups too and their various hairdoos.

Best wishes for a happy new year!

Happy New Year to all of you!!!
Margaret - finally you dared to groom Maddie:-) We need the picture!!!!
Berry is matting too...I do not even put the collar now. But i have to put the harness when we go for a drive and then she gets horribly matted. I have finally caved in and got Les Poochs brush...I have to still open and use it. It feels like i have to really do a inauguration ceremony...since i have never spent anywhere close to that money in my life for any comb:-)

Happy New Year!!!

Madison had a great holiday season my husband and myself were both off for the past two week so she has gotten a lot of together time. I gave her a haircut myself which turned out ok, even my husband said it was ok. And he is the one who is always irate with the groomer when she comes home. She is beginning to get very matted on her backside so I thought it was time. Over time I may get as good as Sharon, something to aspire to.

Quick story that happened this weekend that shows how small the world truly is and how great Carol Dean is. My husband is in a hunting club and another member brought a guest with him and they were all talking and this man was telling my husband about this puppy they were getting next month and come to find out the puppy is coming from Southern Charm. How crazy is that?? We live in Maryland out of the blue this man from Virginia shows up at this VERY remote farm to hunt and we both have or are getting pups from Carol. Oh and Cooper is the father of the pup they are getting.

Thanks everyone! It would be so awesome if we could get all of the pups together! We just spend a week in St. Louis and Yeager got to enjoy romping in the snow. My brother and sister in law have a 4 year old Old English Sheepdog and Yeager LOVED her - he wouldn't even stop to eat! He lost some weight from lack of food and all of the play time. They were soooo fun to watch together. Yeager is just like Cooper - sometimes I look at him and think I'm looking at Cooper. He is built just like his daddy! Hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year!!

Hi Everyone! Boy do Yeager and Dylan look alike too! I wish we could get all our full grown pups together for a photo. Our pups have been having fun in the snow here in MN. They came home on Xmas with hundreds of snow balls attached to each little locket of hair. They had to be showered to help all the ice melt off, We are on our way now to find out about mushers paste for their foot pads. The only thing slowing them down is all the snow pack between their toes.

Yeager is sooo handsome!!!
Happy holidays to everybody....
Berry had fun holidays here...travelling to Detroit to our friends' house and getting pampered thoroughly with all the kids. They have 2 pet birds and she behaved pretty well and let them be though she got excited first few times when they flew...But by the third day they seem to have an understanding:-)
A funny instant comment I got from a friend of mine who saw her first time - If Berry ever got out into the woods, next thing we can expect is the tv station helicopter hovering around and announcing that we have a polar bear on loose:-)
