Here's Reggae!

Wow!! Rocco looks huge in these pics. Reggae weighs 50 lbs and I am guessing is about 18-19". He has a Cooper coat too but not quite as long (yet) as Rocco's. It is an absolutely beautiful deep chocolate with the most amazing reddish highlights. He gets lots of compliments and no one has seen a color like his or Australian doodles for that matter. We are getting many chances to talk to people in the community about Australian Doodles and Southern Charms!

Dylan weighs 53 lbs and although he looks big is really a skinny boy. Reggae is built like a linebacker on the other hand is thick and muscular. His back hips are taller again although you can't tell under his coat. He is just starting to come to life in the cool weather and is getting to be nearly as fast as Dylan. Dylan uses a lot of crouching tiger - flying dragon moves too, which are harder to compete with!

Reggae likes to play chase with Dylan and to hang back with us too. He is sweet and very mellow and non chalant about life. He crashes into us with his whole body when he wants to snuggle. I will send a pic tonight. The last one I have is from 6 weeks ago and he's changed a lot since then.

Thanks for the photos!

Awww, Berry looks wonderful!! You did a great job! And look at her sitting so pretty in the second photo. What a doll! :)

I can't wait to see photos of Dylan and Reggae in their Halloween costumes! Let us know if they got on tv! :)

Berry got her hair last evening...Here she is posing pretty.
Margaret - I used 3/4" on her body and 1" on her legs and from the back of the head to the neck(to transition) and then scissored off the top of the head following Sharon's instruction.
Sharon - I think I got the head and eyes correct this time, right?...Berry passes her huge thanks to Cricket for modeling:-)

OH BOY DYLAN - Coyboy boots really - couldn't have chosen a cheaper pair of shoes??? I am SOOOO glad Maddie is past the shoe chew stage. Can not wait to see pictures of the babies in their costumes.

I think it was the smell of daddy's shoe that did him in. He seems fine now and has already tried to steal a few more :0 When does this phase end???

Tomorrow a.m. the boys are going to be on the news with their Halloween costumes (dylan = devil & reggae= honey bee). There is a Halloween event in town and the dog care they go to recommended them to be on! Hope Dylan doesn't try to eat the reporter's shoe!

Half a boot, oh my! Dylan sure does like shoes doesn’t he! ;) I bet the smell of leather was irresistible! :)

Margaret- I’m so sorry to hear about Maddie’s tummy troubles. I hope the new medication does the trick. Let us know how it goes. :)
I haven’t plucked Cricket’s ears very much, but I need to because they’re getting really hairy!

Hi Everyone-
Love the pics of the 4! They're all so cute!

Sorry to hear about Maddie! Dylan and Reggae vomit frequently due to their love of sticks, leaves, dirt and garden debris and last night....Dylan ate the entire top off of Erik's cowboy boot. He turned one into a short boot. I told him that the short boot is in fashion right now...but he was not amused. Dylan proceeded to throw up a pile of 50 or so small bite size leather pieces. Ick!

We are still debating how best to work with Dylan's hair, which is now about 6 inches long. In his next cut we are only willing to spare 2 inches (up from 1 inch the first time!) since the long shaggy look suits him well. His coat seems to be a little diff texture than the rest of his sibs so it lays real flat and has a silky feel to it that prevents it from matting. It has been so easy to care for!

We use the Paul Mitchell for dogs oatmeal conditioner and tearfree shampoo which is great for getting the tangles out. We still only bathe him 1x a month and comb him about every week.

My hairdresser has decided he's not the one for the job...understandable but so disappointing! We admire how all of you groom your own dogs so we are considering doing Dylan ourselves. We have the table and the scissors. Now we just need the confidence and skill.

We take Dylan (and Reggae now too) out to be combed thoroughly about once a month to make sure I haven't missed any tangles. Today the guy who combed saved all the brush out to show me. This must be the changeover to adult coat becasue there was a whole huge pile with a few small knots mixed in.
