Poor Reggae! Get better soon, little man! :) 8 weeks of rest, yikes!

Maddie looks so cute- wet and dry! And so white! Cricket doesn't get weepy eyes, but Boo does sometimes. Not sure what the cause is though.

Cricket says: "Broccoli, Maddie?? Blech!!" ;)

Madison looks so cute freshly bathed! Her eyelashes are so long. We haven't had any weepy eye problems.

Reggae is healing up after his big surgery. We were back at the dr today for a check in and Reggae is allowed to hobble a bit now at least to go potty. The worst part is that they shaved his entire leg to the hip. Not sure about his foot since we've not seen it yet but that will look pretty funny if it is fuzzy. His hair is about 4" now so the look is not going to be too attractive for quite some time.

Melissa so glad the surgery went well!! Now the really hard part no running or jumping for 8 weeks - wishing lot of luck with that!!!

Madison fresh after her bath last night. Notice her eyes are weeping - does anyone else notice this in their doodle's eyes?

Surgery went very well. No replacement parts were needed. Not sure how it happened but it was in part due to his heavy stature. He weighs 63 lbs and will need to drop some weight to protect his knees. Apparently this type of thing is fairly common in large dogs. It's just hard for us to relate to him as a large dog. We still refer to him as baby Reggae. It has been very icy here so that is one possibility but it could have been running, jumping or just turning too quickly. He cannot run or jump for 8 weeks.

Oh poor Reggae...Please send our wishes to get well soon. What happened? Did he tear while running? So, no rough-housing for a few days...

That's just it they are soooo cute that even stubborness comes off as adorable!

On another note poor little Reggae had knee surgery today to fix a tear in his ligament. It turned out very well but he will be out of comission for 8 weeks.

Stubborn and strong-willed...oh...that is Berry sometimes alright. She was even resisting egg that day:-) Egg is her favorite treat...usually just the sight of egg makes her do all the tricks(sit, down, roll, place, stay) without anybody asking
her:-)
