Simon is cute! Butter's hearing is not that great either. Sometimes he sleeps so deeply because he can't hear, and when I touch him, it startles him. He used t be really afraid of Thunder, but not anymore!! He can hardly hear it!! :-)

Glad to hear Butter is doing better.

Simon would like to introduce himself.  Simon is 11.5 Yorkie, he joined our family when he was 5.  Simon was attacked by a large dog and his owners wanted him put down even though he would recover from the attack.  They told the vet if she knew someone that would what him go ahead.  Once Simon recovered he had other health issues, bad teeth and a heart murmur.  But a every strong will to live.  Simon is starting to show his age now.  His hearing and sight are not the greatest.  He hasn't had to start medication yet for the heart murmur, but the vet thinks maybe within the year.  After saying all this he keeps on going.

Here is Madison, age 13.  She started showing her "senior" side about 9 months ago and has really started slowing down.  She is healthy and happy though!

Butter's blood work came back today. Thankfully, the infection did not reach his Kidney!! :-) He seems to feel better already, uncreasing his appetite and much excited about going outside!!

Thank you Karen. He is doing OK otherwise. Dr. Sweeny said that his bladder wall was thick and he has some temperture. They did a blood work to make sure that his kidney was working good. The thing was that, all of the patients he had this evening were seniors!! The oldest was a 20 years old cat!!!

I'm sorry to hear that, Kyoko, I hope he's better soon.

This is what happened with my 16 yr old cat this past year; drinking much more water than ever before, and peeing like crazy. I guess it's common in both cats and dogs when they get older.
