I finally had enough of Dakota's matting situation and all that brushing and combing.I took her to the groomers today and she got shaved pretty much.I like the traditional doodle look but its just not worth it for me or her.Here is a after and before picture.Sorry i put up the wrong after picture.Here is the real after picture.

great job, the haircut looks great. i cut my Rosie's hair even shorter when I do it, it lasts longer. I even take the face down a bit more. I find that the shorter I do around the lips the less stinky Rosie's face is.

That doesn't look like a shave!!!!  Actually, you really lucked out and got a fantastic cut.  She looks very Doodlish and she is probably loving it.  You groomer is a keeper and you are so lucky to have gotten it right the first time.

I agree - she is nicely cut, not shaved at all.  My mom's goldendoodle looks a lot like Dakota and she shaves her back but leaves her sides longer giving her a nice retriever look.  I guess I know what Lindy (my mom's doodle) would look with longer hair and a different cut :-)  Dakota is a welcome addition to the short hair club!

Actually Jared, Dakota kept a lot more hair than Daisy did.....he is still gorgeous, Daisy is looking better after a week but oh boy, when I first brought her home she was sooooooooooooooo skinny.
