IT'S BACK - Doogie Poolooza in Ontario, CA.

I have no idea how I'm getting there but we are going!  This is Sassparillas annual birthday outing and after the summer she's had, she and Josie deserve to have a fun play date in the water.  If anyone is interested let me know and we can plan to meet up.  

If your dog loves the water or just wading in it they will love it here.  It's well worth the drive.  We humans can't swim in the pool but we can wade in it.  We take Sassy's life vest because she's in the water from the moment we arrive until the time it's over and we have to drag her out!  It's very much like a kiddy pool, it gradually slopes in to the middle where it's the deepest (no dogs really venture out there).

In addition there are tons of vendors with free give-a-ways and stuff to buy.  It's very much like a pet expo just with a pool to keep the fur babies entertained!

DOGGIE POOLOOZA

SEPTEMBER 12 & 13, 2015

Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park

$5 per person/ $1 per dog

As the dog days of summer come to an end and the regular summer swim season closes, San Bernardino County Parks hosts its annual Doggie Pool-ooza event at Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park in Ontario. During this event owners can bring their four legged pals who have had to endure the summer heat in a fur coat, for a last dip in the cool pool. In addition to the zero entry pool the event also boasts a Doggie Swimsuit Competition, a Dog/Owner look-a-like contest, Top Dog Talent Show, and Lil’ Dog Races.

Next weekend my sister is visiting from up north, we are free the rest of the month. With my ankle we don't get out much! BTW Nancy, the laser treatment was declined so I have to appeal. This may never end. :(

Hi Bev, pool party sounds fun except Cooper is still warming up to a pool. He'll be going to grandparent's pool for the 3rd time this Saturdsay. We'll see how he does! I'm hoping he'll like the one in Ontario where it's a gradual slope in type. Maybe Sassy can lead Cooper into the pool and get him to love it. Lol

I'm game for whichever date the crowd chooses, I'm guessing though it'll probably be Saturday? I don't remember it being two days last year?? With all the dogs Cooper will be in the water playing before he realizes what he's doing, followed by a blissful quiet night for you. They get so tuckered out. Lol
