How do you celebrate your labradoodle's birthday?

With all the big puppy news (Scarlett's new litter and Kalie and Deacon puppies' first birthday), I thought it would be fun to share how we plan on celebrating (or have celebrated in the past) our doodle's birthdays. Add a photo or a recipe or something if you want to your post.

Lucas turned 1 the end of July. For his birthday we baked him a cake ( recipe is below ) decorated with carrots and blueberries ( see pic on my doodle kisses page ). We went the the mountains for the weekend and did a lot of hiking! A great time was had by all!




Peanut Butter Carrot Cake


1 cup flour
1tsp baking soda
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup shredded carrots
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 cup honey
1 egg
Mix flour and baking soda. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into greased 8" round cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let cool. Puree cottage cheese in blender for icing. Decorate with more peanut butter and carrots.
