Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
This was in my paper yesterday and I thought I'd share it.

In case you don't have time to read it, here's the part that I really liked:
"Being overweight or obese has long been tied to an increase risk of several types of cancer -- colon, esophagus, kidney, pancreas and breast (in post-menopausal women) -- but there hadn't been much evidence on the effects of diet and exercise for people who had already had cancer. The last 5 years saw more than 100 studies involving cancer survivors, many of them showing that exercise and/or a healthy diet was associated with lower cancer recurrence rates and longer survival."
I'm so glad that Knox keeps me moving -- our daily walks may really be the best medicine for me!
We're going to hit the streets now! He's always ready, lol!

That was interesting. Thanks. I always say that medical advice is mostly the same D and E, diet and exercise. I will go out with the dogs and also garden today.
Crap, I was hoping D and E stood for donuts and elclairs.
Right : )
I hate to exercise, but have reached the age when I must. I am glad to know that I can pat myself on the back doubly.
BaHumbug. I exercise a lot for my age. I don't have cancer but my joints ache like crazy. Time to replace them all. So, if you don't get cancer you will get joint replacements from all the exercise. Everything is a trade off.
I have a bad attitude about all that healthy exercise as of late!!! OUCH!
That's why I loved weight lifting. You barely move at all, and if you do it right, no stress on the joints.
I just walk a lot. I walk about 10 miles a day at work. My hip is killing me. I have used soft weights on my wrists but nothing else to strengthen my legs.
My hips are killing me. I've even used pain meds for sleep recently. I can't seem to get a full night in without them :(
But... YOu just jogged ( no jogging ) my mind. I'll look up some strengthening for this problem. Funny, a nurse told me to do this a month ago. Now, you reaffirmed it for me.
I have a hard time walking at time too. Bah humbug.
Jazzy Scouter :) ?? I could put Doodle Stickers on it and roll down the road with Spud. When he gets old, I'll attach a sidecar. Sounds like a plan. You and I could race.
Or, those Golf Carts in Florida, you posted awhile back might be more stylish.
Oh, I forgot about them. Ideal.
Ladies -- you know who you are -- I am visiting my 82- and 83-year old parents and am just now checking this discussion on my iPhone. You sound as bad as them...just saying...
