Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
What is the difference between the two and would one be more preferable for a puppy (I know they come from the same company).

Jolene, check the feeding amounts to be sure you're not feeding too much.
I'd go midway between the amounts for 22 and 44 lbs.
Almost two weeks and they are still inhaling their food. Both are caught hovering over their bowls waiting to be served! Poops have gotten noticable smaller too! Josie seems to have gotten over her throwing up but I do still find her on occassion eating grass? Sassparilla I have dropped her food down lower than the less active recommendation. She is randomly throwing up clear liquid? It was everyday but now that I reduced her food it's not as frequent? I have discovered wet spots on the carpet or a small splatter on the floor (looks like someone spilt water)? Nothing in it (no food) and texture identical to water? She is extremely active and a couple of the times she was playing, puked then continued to want to play so it sdoesn't seem to bother her once she even kept the toy in the mouth when puking! ugh... Thats how I know it was her! I've made her rest for about thirty minutes which kills her, don't know if this helps any? Not sure if she is eating too fast or drinking too fast? I go back to the old rule don't eat and swim or rough house back to back! lol
It's amazing to see Josie finish her meal in under a minute and NEVER leave her bowl! Traditionally she grazes or should I say picks up a few kibbles goes behind the chair on the other side of the room to eat and returns to the bowl, repeating the same pattern. As you can imagine this sometimes took 30-40 minutes and she usually never finished!
The only other change in their diet, if you can call it that is they no longer get an egg, pumpkin, or yogurt with every meal? Also, in the mornings when we leave they get a true chew jerky and occassionally when training a yummie chummie or two.
They RARELY get table scraps but they do get four or five pieces of popcorn at night when I make my bowl. But this has gone on from the beginning. They get all excited when the popcorn stops popping and they run back and forth from me to the kitchen to let me know it's ready, how can you not offer them a morsel? lol
Thanks again Karen for you guidance on our food rollercoaster. They are healthier and I am happier. Ü
Thanks for the update. Healthy dogs and happy owner, that's what we want! :)
