I give my dogs mini peeled carrots as treats.I give about 3 each a day. They have sugar in them and i was wondering if thats okay since its natural sugar or should i cut back to one mini carrot a day since there is sugar in them and can harm their health maybe if given too many a day.

Well, too much of anything is not good, but mini carrots are a fine treat. The sugar shouldn't be a problem, assuming you're not giving them handfuls a day.

During the last year of my poodle's life, her vet wanted her on human-quality foods and treats only. I gave her mini carrots for treats, and she did just fine on them.

When a dog is teething they can be great frozen also!

I tried giving Sophie Bear carrots once and she turned her nose at them. Same for broccoli and most other veggies. Tee hee, like mother like puppy I guess ;-)

My guys love them!  They get a few mini carrots each day as treats.

My two are so small, so I just cut up one mini carrot and divide it up between the two for treats.

Dex & Kirby love them too.  Our vet said it's a great treat for them.
