Does anyone have any recommendations on chewable sticks? My puppy loves them and it will keep her occupied for a very long time. I've heard not so good reviews about Bully Sticks based on what they are made of and causes other dogs diarrhea...

I gave her Dingo sticks but wanted to see what else was out there that people recommend.

Thanks!

Yes I would be interested in this also. What is okay for sensitive stomachs? I will have to give my chihuahua the same thing or he will feel like he went down on the totem pole.
I give Maddy (16+ weeks) bully sticks. She loves them and they haven't caused her any problems. I spoke with someone who seemed very knowledgeable on the "chew stick" info. and she said even though the store carries rawhide she doesn't give them to her dog..she gives a bully stick. The only thing I was told was to supervise and take it away when it gets to about 3" or so that way they won't swallow it and choke.
Dogswell jerky products are safe & our dogs love them. Old West smoked beef tendons last a long time and are safe. Flossies makes a lot of sizes and these last a long time, also safe. Jones Natural Chews is a new one I found. All available at Pet Supplies Plus and other retailers of premium dog foods. Not petsmart or the big chains.
Dingo products are made in China. Also, do not buy any rawhide type products that are made outside of the USA or Canada.
Sensitive stomachs are a separate issue. Jack has a somewhat sensitive stomach and has done well with all of the above, but the easiest on the stomach would be the Dogswell chicken jerky.
Ours love the Dogswell Chicken Jerkey, but it doesn't last very long. My older one can demolish a stick in less than a minute!! I bought him a natural marrowbone, but haven't been brave enough to give it to him yet as someone told me it would give him diarrhoea (?sp) !
I was afraid of that too with the marrowbone. I did it when I knew I'd be home for a couple days so DH wouldn't have to clean up after them. Much to my surprise -- no problem. Not with the puppy either so go for it!
Angel LOVES her bully stick, but she also LOVES Merrick chew sticks. They almost look like a cigar when she chews on it....have to get a pic one of these days....but it's not rawhide, but it does last a long while. I've also heard good things about antlers...
Check out the Old West products...they are identical to the Merrick chew sticks- they're both beef tendon, much safer & more nutritious than rawhide- but they're cheaper. Also made in the USA. Jack loves them.
I have seen those and will give them a try. I only buy USA or Canada made dog food products ever since I had a TERRIBLE China chicken treat episode with my chihuahua 2 years ago. Thankful he is alive.
My dood likes to chew also. She is not as crazy about bully sticks as she is of ligaments and pizzles and tripe spirals. I like the ligaments better because they don't smell bad like the bully sticks. They are very digestable and mine has never had any negative reactions to them. They don't last as long as a bully stick, depending on the size, about 30 minutes. but she doesn't stop chewing until its gone.
I wish I knew what kinds of bully sticks are lasting so long for everyone; Jack eats them in about 3 minutes, and that includes the NV "pizzle" too, lol. At 9 bucks or more a pop, no can do for 3 minutes of chewing. The beef tendon lasts much longer for us.
