My Charli is very thin - I can feel between her ribs and count every vertebrae. She eats only 1.5 cups of Evo a day. She will eat chicken or cooked veggies if not mixed with kibble. I want her to eat a balanced diet which is why I really want her to eat her Evo.

I got a gift of Stella & Chewey's freeze dried patties. Since I didn't really read the bag, I thought they were treats. We had Bella and Blake here last night and opened the bag. I could have asked all 4 of them to stand on their nose to eat a piece! Then read the package and was impressed -

"Our commitment to quality starts with our ingredients. Every Stella & Chewy’s product is made with raw, naturally raised meat, poultry or fish, sourced from USDA-inspected facilities, without added hormones or antibiotics. Chewy’s Chicken Dinner, for example, contains raw, farm-raised chicken as well as organic cranberries, carrots, apples, spinach, broccoli, beets, squash and pumpkin seed. Just like all of our products, it’s made without grain, fillers, artificial preservatives or colorings. We didn’t even add sugar or salt! And every single ingredient we use is sourced from reputable suppliers."

I thought I would give it a try with Charli's breakfast. She actually ate almost 2 cups of Evo with 1/2 a chicken patty!!! I am just thrilled!

I searched for the best price taking into consideration the shipping charges. I am not surprised that doggiefood.com came out the best. The price is the lowest for the patties and they are charging a flat rate of $4.95 for shipping.

This is what worked for us. If you have a finicky eater you might want to try them.

Yep, JD goes crazy over Stella & Chewy's patties. It's a very high-quality product. The prices are prohibitive for feeding as the main diet if you have a dog over 30 lbs, but as an appetizer or topper for kibble, you can't beat them!
For what its worth I like Stella & Chewey's a lot. Have you experimented with their frozen raw patties? They would be a bit more economical. Also wonder if you have ever tried topping her food with ziwi peak? We use it for treats and our doods will practically put themselves in their crate and lock the door for it. Glad you have found a solution!

It's weird, JD doesn't like Ziwi Peak at all (and at $100 for 11 lbs, that's fine with me, lol).

The Stella & Chewy's patties I gave him were freeze-dried raw, I believe. They had a dry, crumbly texture and were not refrigerated or frozen, which would be very convenient for those who travel with their dogs.

My guys loved them too....unfortunately, they weren't good with Murph's bad tummy.  I think it's great you found something that works for Charli!

Another good topping is live cicadas...helps them get their protein.

I am just kidding...can't keep my dogs away from them down South.  Everywhere...

That's hilarious that I just came across this. I opened my window the other day because I heard something tapping on the glass, and a giant cicada flew in... I screamed and jumped up on the pool table, and Sunny came running from across the room with her mouth wide open. She ate it in about 3 seconds!
I'm sure if we had them here Luna would be doing the same thing... she spends many visits to the back yard hunting ants on the patio...
We got samples of K9 Naturals at work and I gave some of the lamb to Cooper. She LOVED it. Its freeze dried raw and I worked out, buying the large box of it, it would cost $95 a month (plus tax) to feed her (60lbs). I thought this was very reasonable compared to the price of other freeze dried and dehydrated raw

I just bought a bag of Stella and Chewey's freeze dried patties since I saw that you liked it. It was 10 dollars for a small bag, but Sunny loved it!

I also bought a sample bag of Orijen (which she also loved) and put half the Stella and Chewey's patty on top of it. She ate much more than she has ever eaten at 2 in the afternoon! We'll see how much she eats at dinner time tonight.
