Help! My 3 1/2 month old labradoodle has been throwing up all day, a total of six times. I am not feeding him because of it, but have water available at all times. I was out for a bit while my son took care of him. He said the last time he threw up it looked like he threw up a piece of bone and some string-like material. Should I try feeding him? Or just wait until tomorrow?

Cynthia, he needs to see a vet ASAP. I personally would go to the ER tonight, but no later than tomorrow a.m. for sure.
Do not feed him. Is he drinking any water?
If he vomits for more than 24 hours, take him to the vet. Don't feed the dog until at least 12 hours after the last vomit, and then feed it something very bland--for example, cooked rice and boiled chicken. You should however try to keep the dog hydrated. If it is not drinking water, try a bit a shaved ice held in the palm of your hand.
I am not a vet but this is the advice a vet once gave to me.
My friends dog ate a pair of socks and she didn't know it or how he got it???? The dog was trying to throw up but couldn't and after 2 days he finally threw up and it was a sock. the next day she took him to the vet and low and behold he had the other sock in his large intestines and the dog was kept at the vet so the vet could give him stuff to pass the other sock well after treatment he finally passed the other sock. He was spared surgery and now he is fine. My suggestion...like the others get him to a vet......And don't try to feed him anything before the vet see's him.
Thanks everyone. Your input is a great help.
How's he doing today?
