We only have 1 out of the 3 pet stores in town that carry it and I was going to start Cocoa on it tonight.

I go in to the store to buy the puppy salmon formula and all I saw was canine.  So I ask the sales person if they have puppy and I was told they don't make puppy its just all one bag he said something about life stages or something like that.

I swore when I was searching the internet and was on TOTW web site they had a puppy... But I bought the bag of it anyway.  I get home and get online to look it up and sure enough they do have a puppy forumla.

What The Heck... Just shows never trust anyone at a pet store.

BUT... none of the stores carry it.   So anyone know any good places to order it online?

And this totally sucks because I only have 2 more days left of the canned RX junk for the vet and might have to buy more until the food gets here.  DH said to look at walmart and the Grocery store to see if they carry it and I laughed and said they only have junk at those places.

On a side note took Cocoas last poop sample in today and should know Monday the results. I am praying it is negative again and we are just dealing with food problems.

I'd do a Google search for the food and a lot of on-line dog food sites will come up. You can compare prices.

Petflow is a good company. I know F Parker orders food on-line and she will probably have some suggestions as well.

Did you check the TOTW website for retailers?

Thanks Karen.

Last night I was able to find a list of a bunch of stores that are not right in town but still close that I had no clue were even there.  This morning once they all open I am going to start making calls to see who carry's the puppy formula.

I hope to have Cocoa off the RX crap by her lunch time :)

Keep us posted.

Lindsey...I feed TOTW and found wag.com sells it within a couple of dollars as the store in my area.  Plus has free shipping on orders over $49.  I compared the puppy vs all stage formula a while ago.  The only difference I notice was the fat content percentage was a littler higher.  Hope this helps

Abby has been on TOTW now since she was a puppy, but never the puppy formula. That is something they just came out with not that long ago.  I had issues with finding something she liked and TOTW was it. She has never had an issue with the adult formula, it's high enough in protein that getting enough nourishment isn't an issue. She prefers the  bison one - High Prairie formula? She is 3 1/2 now and is healthy and is at a real good weight. She never had stool issues with it either. I am a big advocate of TOTW, and I wouldn't be afraid to give your pup the adult stuff.

TOTW is an all life stages. The puppy formula is new. protein levels are higher in the puppy fish (which i like) but lower in the high prairie. Calories and fat are almost the same.

People like to have puppies on puppy food, but its really a gimmick. In the wild the dogs would all eat the same thing, same as with human children

my cats eat TOTW and love it, their coats are really soft and shiny

If your pet store can order TOTW all life stages, they can probably order the puppy - unless they are a franchise and then they often can only get what the head office tells them they can (PetValu for eg can only get whats in their central warehouse and cant order in anything different, or certain colours of toys etc)

Lindsey, I get TOTW from www.wag.com and www.mrchewy.com

I have only been feeding TOTW for about 6 months and both of my guys are adults, but I'm pretty sure that you could feed a puppy any of the TOTW formulas with no problem.

Hi Lindsey,

I'm now feeding my 7month old TOTW and it's not the puppy formula.  The woman at my local WAGS carries both, but told me pretty much the same thing that Amy noted in her comment.  It's an all stages food.

I have thought about ordering from Mr. Chewy because that's where my neighbor gets it, but it's the same price as getting it at WAGS.

Thanks everyone.

I found it at a store 20 minutes away and they have great prices on it as well.

Just got the call from the vet that her stool sample was negative.

Her poo is still not the best and she is back to going 6-8 times a day since on the new food OH and GaSsY.  But I was expecting a little tummy upset for a couple days to a week until she gets adjusted.

She really loves the food. I am excited to have her on kibble and off the can food because now we can use the treat toys. I put some of her food in the Kong one that looks like a bowling pin and she loves it.

I just hope after all this it was really a food problem and this fixes it. 2 months of running her to the vet and runny poo has not been fun.

I'm not sure if you have tried this either, but I have found that a little bit of canned pumpkin mixed in with my dogs food helps when she gets the runs...  I add it for a few days and she seems to get better.  The woman who owns the daycare I take her to every now and then told me to try it.

Yes i knew about it but right now we are trying to rule out food issues so I hate to add something new to a new food and not know what is bothering her tummy.

I live  near the Twin Cities, Minnesota and get my dog and cat food (my 2 cats are on TOTW also) delivered. If anyone lives near Hudson, Wisconsin or in the Twin Cities area, there is a guy who delivers. His prices are cheaper than any local prices I have seen, and cheaper than both the www.wags.com and www.mrchewy.com. He does charge me an extra $1 for what he calls a "fuel surcharge" that he added when gas prices went so high, but there is no sales tax for me being in a different state, so I'm glad to pay it. Let me know if you are interested in checking this out.
