I and Love and You brand

Hi there...

We stopped in at a Petco Unleashed store in Portland and were given some samples of the I and Love and You brand kibble, along with the jerky treats.  Have never heard of this brand before - ingredients look ok, but since I'm not the food guru, I thought I'd let Karen and JD give their take on this food line.

Well, I was in Portland and went into a Petco Unleashed (which I hadn't seen before) and there was someone in there handing out samples, etc.  I didn't look for it while I was in there, but yesterday went into our local Petco in Vancouver, WA and did not see it there.  We are having a Pet & Companion Fair next weekend and I see that one of the vendors in attendance will be Petco Unleashed, so I think that I'll check with them while I'm there.

The stores usually purchase their merchandise through a distributor, and not through the companies that make the products, so which products any given store carries will vary depending on which distributor they use and what's available through that distributor. They also use certain demographics when deciding which products to stock, so sometimes one Pet Supplies Plus in one neighborhood will have different products available than another PSP in a different neighborhood. For example, the PSP near my house doesn't carry Fromm or Acana, but another PSP about 8 miles away does.

And just make sure you don't buy this company's "flea tags", completely worthless garbage, lol. Stick with their food & treats. :-)

LOL!  I didn't even notice those!  What do you think of the salmon oil supplement?

I've found you're almost always better off just using human supplements. They have better quality control and they are usually much cheaper. I'm sure their salmon oil is fine, though.
