Lucy has been on Fromm's Game Bird recipe for many years and has always done well with eating it and liking it (she's extremely un food motivated so finding a food she would consistently eat was a frustrating and expensive challenge until trying this food). Something changed last Spring when after opening a new bag of food she turned her nose up at it. Just wouldn't eat it. I called Chewy and reported the problem and they sent out a new bag of food, no charge. That bag she immediately ate, no problem. Then, I'm not sure if it was the next shipment or the one after that, the same thing happened again. She turned her nose up at the new bag. I called Chewy and they sent a new bag, again no charge, which Lucy once again ate, no problem. I opened a new bag 2 nights ago and this is the 3rd bag she simply will not eat. This time Chewy is charging me for a replacement bag. I did ask the rep if they were reporting the problem to Fromm and she said yes, but they hadn't heard anything back from them. I did learn something interesting, however. The new bags are now coming from a US manufacturing plant where they'd previously come from Canada. It seems obvious to me that it's that change that has something to do with the inconsistency in bags/batches of food. With Chewy now charging me for replacement bags of food, I have no choice but to start a quest on finding a new food for Lucy. Has anyone else noticed any changes at all in Fromm's food recently?

Nancy, I've given your question a lot of thought. Lucy is healthy and no, the vet is not concerned about her weight. She has only been off food for a couple days thus far (the only other food she's gotten is the 2 tablespoons of yogurt she gets with every meal.). For the past 4-1/2 - 5 years she's been eating a food, Fromm's Game Bird, that she's found quite palatable and ate 2 meals a day consistently. The two biggest benefits of that were/are that 1) While on antibiotics, I don't have to force her to eat something to keep her from vomiting, and 2) I dont have to deal with her throwing up bile every 5 minutes from having an empty stomach. For her first 2 - 2-1/2 yrs that's what I dealt with. So I've known it both ways and I much prefer finding a food she deems palateable and will eat on a regular basis. It may come down to having to go back to that previous way of life though, if I can't find a food she likes. I dread having to go through that again. The main reason I want to switch from Fromm's (besides the cost of finding a bag she'll eat) is that I don't know why she refuses to eat certain bags. Is she detecting something in it that could harm her? I just don't know, and I won't force her to eat a food that may cause her harm.
