Friends it has been quite a while since I have been active here and have missed all of you. Today I am sick to my stomach about just hearing of Natura Pet foods being purchased by Proctor & Gamble but absolutely must share that with you. Natura initiated a special permit with the U.S. Coast guard to stabilize fish meal in their products that cost more but was safer for our pets and they have always been in my top 10 recommendations. Today that changes. As you are aware I am very cautious about using foods that have been purchased by conglomerates, most especially this one. I have always said you should be prepared to have options, I emphasize that now just in case you need to make changes in the future. I just cannot think of any more words to say, I am incredibly disappointed and well speechless.
Kim, are you wanting to stick with grains? You might want to see how Fromm would work. I personally (well Peri, not me!) prefer the 4-star. Peri got tired of the Classic. Plus you can see which kind works best for Allie - they have salmon, chicken, pork, duck, and others. Peri prefers pork and duck, but the salmon or chik may be better for Allie's stomach. It is a great food though.
I don't know what I want to stick with honestly! I did have her on Canidae and a bunch of "junk" treats until April of this year. She had almost constant soft stools, so we eliminated all of the junk treats, and switched to California Naturals. Now we give her Charlee Bear treats, and California Naturals. When she is only on those 2 things, she is constipated so we have added Salmon Oil as well. I could try Canidae again because I'm sure that it was the snacks and Bully Sticks that we were giving her that were causing the soft stools. Switching foods is very confusing to me!
