Here's my problem.  The breeder fed Jake Purina Pro Plan Chicken and Rice.  I have been very slowly transitioning Jake over to Orijen Regional Red.  His stools have been soft so I would add pumpkin.  This morning, he woke me up at 2:00am and he had to go to the bathroom and he had a large bowel movement.  He woke me up again at 6:30 and I took him out again, but this time only to pee.  I took him back in to feed him and he really wasn't hungry.  Within about 20 minutes, he had diarrhea on my thank goodness hardwood floor.  He was just at the vet last week and was completely healthy, no worms, etc.  I'm beginning to think this food may be too rich for my 7lb mini dood.  Opinions and advice would be greatly appreciated.  I don't do well cleaning up messes like this as I have a very sensitive stomach myself!

Yes, if you can freeze it, you're okay. And that info comes directly from JD's immunology specialist, so I trust it.
PetSmart does carry Wellness, Solid Gold, and a few other foods on our recommended list. I still prfer Champion Foods' products, but those would be reasonable options.

I would email Champion Foods.  I was having trouble no matter how many times or ways I tried to transition my puppy over to Orijen LBP.  I sent Champion Foods an email stating that I believed in their brand, explained my problem, and everything I had tried.  They kindly suggested I try Acana and gave me a coupon for 2 free 30lb bags!

I plan on just leaving my puppy on the Blackwood, BLAH!!!, that seems to be the only thing that works.  The coupon is good for 6 months though, so I will probably just end up trying again in a few months.
