Only when we demand this information and spread far and wide to others prompting them to do the same will they start taking note. See this article that pertains to seeking information from the manufacturer of your pets food. As a matter of fact why don't we use this as a thread to post the responses we get? Please state clearly at the beginning of your response what company and food you are referencing. As to those emails that indicate private and confidential, my feeling is that if they are stating they are clear they should take no issue with their name remaining ~ besides it's my email right?

I’ve received countless emails from frustrated pet owners after publishing ‘Risk Ingredients not listed on Pet Food Labels’. The biggest concern from pet owners is proof their pet food is free of risky ingredients such as ethoxyquin. If you want proof, ask for it (from your pet food manufacturer).

I have already done this with a few foods that I was considering purchasing, and i did reprint the responses here in the Food Group somewhere, as have others. I have asked about ethoxyquin, menadione, imported ingredients, where the food is actually manufactured, and whether Menu Foods is in any way involved. The companies from which I got satisfactory responses were Fromm and Nature's Variety. I did not consider it necessary to formally inquire on Orijen, but feel confident it would pass my "test".
Thank you Karen from checking that out. I do use Fromm and it is good to know it passed the test. Thank you Dianne for the information. I know we all appreciate and will join you.
