Good morning.....this is kind of a carry over from the medical group from a couple of days ago.  Our 7 year old Cavapoo was having issues with bloody diarrhea and I knew that Karen would come to the rescue and answer some questions and give guidance....and she did.  This morning it was like I heard angels sing - we had our first formed stool in a week with no traces of blood seen.  As I wrote in the medical group - she had vomited a couple of time which has some traces of blood in it and of course, it was coming out the other end as well.  Vet did a full blood senior blood panel, fecal w/Elisa Snap test for giardia, urinalysis and all of it came back perfect....so, her thought was that either it was a virus, she ate something she shouldn't have, or I threw out that I've often wondered if she has colitis that flares from time to time or IBS/IBD - she said that those could be possibilities and once her stool is normal for 3 days, then we probably should look at transitioning her to a LID food and keep her on pre/probiotics.

So, with that said - she had been, up until this last week, Fromm and I would rotate the protein with every new bag.  Going forward I'm looking at possibilities for LID foods - and looking for suggestions!!

Thanks all!!!

Wellness Simple Solutions. Jack eats the Salmon formula and does very well with it.

Acana Singles

Zignature (NOT the Zssential formula, all of the others are fine)

Petcurean Go! Sensitivity and Shine

Since she has eaten so many different proteins, it will be hard to find a formula that contains a protein she hasn't eaten before, but try to choose one that she hasn't eaten a lot on a regular basis.

So, maybe this is a "duh" question....but, I'm not seeing LID diets with the protein being chicken - is that because it's thought to be an allergenic, because it's so commonly fed or ??

Karmin has never been one that likes fish for some reason - she's selective (aka picky) as it is.  She also is funny if the kibble is too big, she likes little kibbles  :-)  OY!!

And please wait until you've had a week of good stool. :)

You will also want to be sure that any treats are limited ingredient as well.
