The Honest Kitchen

My son and I just became interested in a dog food maker called The Honest Kitchen.  You can find information about them on their website of the same name.  Does anyone have firsthand knowledge of The Honest Kitchen? Or fed their food?  Or have information not on their website?  Thanks.

Unfortunately, the "search" feature is on the fritz, or I could refer you to a number of discussions here about The Honest Kitchen products. We have several members who have used it and everyone seems happy with it. I have not used it, but I researched it the first time someone asked about it, and it seems to be a very good product.

I noticed search for members was not working well but now it's all bad? It's those darn gremlins again. Glad they don't only live in my house.

I used the Honest Kitchen very briefly....nutritionally, it seems like a great product, but if your dog is a grazer (like mine) it doesn't work very well. I ended up throwing out lots of food...

I feed Honest Kitchen, and I have for some time.  I tried my doodles, who ate raw before I got them, on a variety of diets.  This is a brand that seems to be a favorite so we have been with the Honest Kitchen's various varieties since our doodles were in their first year.

 

While some varieties from THK are complete, I often to pair it with other foods.  Currently my two are eating Canz Country Pet along with Verve from THK.

 

One interesting bit of info is that this company recently upgraded their expectations for the companies that they contract with to produce their food.  Here is the announcement link.
