I just wonder how much of this is on the approved list?

Dorothy Hunter, the owner of Paw's Natural Pet Emporium, with stores in Richland and Kennewick, decided to prove that pets can eat foods as healthy and delicious as human foods by consuming dog, cat and bird food each day for 30 days. She started her campaign June 19.

"You would be surprised how tasty dog and cat food can be when it's made right," she said. "You really are what you eat and it's the same for your pets. I decided to eat this food for a month just to prove how good it tastes, as well as showcase its nutrition."

I wouldn't t go this far : )

Me neither!  I taste test what I cook for the dogs but that's it.  I once paid my teenage son $5 to eat some dry dog food.  The description sounded so good but he was NOT impressed.

Interesting.  I just bought some treats for Bailey called Coconut Crunchers that have papaya and mango in them and they smell so good I may have to try one!

Well, it's a great testimonial for the products, lol. The companies involved should cash in on this.

I could probably deal with the dehydrated green beans or sweet potatoes, but I draw the line at kibble. And while it's possible I could end up eating canned cat food someday if JD's vet bills get any higher, I'm really hoping it won't come to that. :)

This shop is about six blocks from my house and does stock a good variety of foods and treats on the approved list, as well as a large line of treats made by a local bakery. The boyz and I really like the blueberry cookies! <grin>

I've only tried kibble once. On a dare. the TotW Pacific Stream formula. Tastes like cod liver oil. Eww. My friends and I have joked that their food would make for a great diet plan, though - nothing in it that would hurt a human, but you'd have to be really hungry to eat it and then only enough to stop feeling hungry, LOL!

I think I really have to draw the line at canned foods - although, having said that, she does carry a line of LID canned foods (Evenger's) that I'd be willing to try if I were forced to try one. Example ingredients: Whole Dressed Pheasant, Water Sufficient For Processing, Liver, Guar Gum. That might be edible!
