Yogurt

I thought I would freeze some yogurt in a kong for Sophia, what type does everyone use?  with fruit? low fat? sugar free?  Thanks for the help

I put the plain, nonfat Greek yogurt (because that's the yogurt I eat) in Sadie's kong and then I stick a couple of small treats in there, too before I freeze it. (Blue Buffalo Wilderness Trail treats)

Seriously, you want a low or non-fat plain yogurt. NOT vanilla, not Activia, not flavored in any way and no sugar. I'm told there are fat-free plain Greek yogurts, which are fine if you can find them.

You can add a few dried cranberries or blueberries to the plain yogurt if you like.

I use plain low fat and mix it with some low fat peanut butter and a little kibble to give it crunch. Use the small or puppy size kong.

great question.. I was thinking about doing the same thing, but thought Lilly was too young.

I just use plain yogurt. No flavor. Sometimes, I'll freeze it in ice cube trays with a little piece of banana or cantaloupe in each cube. Sometimes, I'll just put a dollop on Halas' food. He loves it.

I use plain yogurt or plain Greek yogurt. I usually get the whole milk one, or low fat. I like to mash up banana and put that in the kong with yogurt, and Teddy love it.

Thank you all so much  for your suggestions..  sorry it took so long to reply. I had trouble finding the replies.   I was just about to post this again.  Sophia is such a picky eater that I have been wondering what to fill the kong with.  My DH accidently dropped some strawberry yogurt on the floor the other day and she went crazy over it.  I just was not sure the strawberry part was good for her.  Plain non fat greek yogurt it is.  Will have to see if she likes cranberries.  did not know you could give those to a dog?? new one on me

I do the plain greek yogurt.  For a change I also with fill a kong 3/4 full of ricotta cheese and freeze.  Then before giving I will add some ricotta to the rest of the kong.  My girl loves the ricotta for a special treat!
