Hi everyone,

Am so proud of Paz.  He's turning two on January 20th and is a registered Delta Pet Partner since March 2011, when he was 14 months old.  He is now featured for the work he is doing at the NYC Family Justice Center in Brooklyn, where I am Director of Children's Services.  We serve victims of domestic violence and their children, and are located in the Brooklyn DA's building.  Paz is featured in this recent Interaction's magazine for the work he did to support a young child who had witnessed the shooting of her mother, and whose testimony was required to convict the shooter.  Paz is literally a 65 pound gentle giant who looks like a Sesame Street character, and always seems to know when a child needs his special love.  Here's the link and Paz's story is on page 20 http://www.deltasociety.org/Document.Doc?id=967

Charlotte -- I actually saw this story and was very curious about the work that you are doing.  Had even been giving some thought to contacting our court system here to see if there is any need for these services in our area. Have just held off a little as I don't want to take on more than Sophie can handle.  We are already doing 4 different hospital/nursing home facilities, and was trying to think through our timing and how this might work.  Great job that you and Paz are doing.  Keep up the good work.
