Thank you Diane. Yes, she was ready to see all the smiles! As soon as I take her vest and scarf out, she knows it's 'work' time :)
The below picture is of my Chloe - ready for a visit at a local old age retirement home yesterday :)
Hurley and I are working on our 50 hours. We go to an assisted living facility one day a week and next we will be adding a Memory Care at a different assisted living facility..
Seeing the smiles on people's faces is so rewarding. Going to the various facilities seeing residence in various stages of neurological disorders is helping me to prepare for the more advanced stages my husband will be experiencing. I hope that when he is in a facility there will be other therapy dogs visiting him along with the times I will be taking Hurley. Giving back is not just about giving back for those we love but for those that need a touch, a nuzzle, a lick, a chance to pet a dog to brighten their day and chance for the handle to give joy to others with a kind word and a smile.
Congratulations! Jaxson and I visit a senior daycare center here in Hawaii and it is very rewarding.
Congrats Huley and Diane. Looking mighty handsome in your new vest Buddy.
Congrats Diane & Hurley!
