Poems/Riddles/Sayings for Holiday Cards That Are Could Be Handed Out During Therapy Dog Visits

I was wondering if anyone else would be willing to share any poems, riddles, or sayings that would be appropriate to put in a card for residents in nursing homes, etc.

I enjoy making cards to hand out to the residents of the nursing home that we visit.  They are usually quick, easy, and many times have a picture of Oliver on it.  I make them on my computer.  I get three cards out of a piece of cardstock. You wouldn't have to use a computer.  You could buy some stickers, etc.  Last week Oliver and I handed out Halloween cards.  On the front there was a picture of him in his hot dog costume.  The title was-- Hot Dog!  It's Halloween!  I would like to share the verse inside.

It's time for Halloween,

for black cats and pumpkins, too. . .

It's time for some fall fun

for someone sweet- like YOU!

The residents just loved the card!  They acted like I spent a huge amount of money on this little surprise.  For Christmas, I order cards from Shutterfly for the residents.  The joy you see on their faces is truly heart-warming!

Anyone else have any poems/sayings/riddles or ideas to share?  Thanks!!  Kathy (Ellie & Oliver)

A little holiday cheer to let you know you're thought of at this special time of the year.

A time for good friends, a time for good cheer, a time to wish you happiness throughout the coming year!

May the sweet sounds of Christmas fill every corner of your world.

Let all the Joys of the season live in your heart throughout the year.

May the miracle of Christmas sit quietly within you now and always.

May the blessings of the season fall upon you like anew snow.
Lucy and Sophie did one last year for Christmas. It was for their friends at the Ohio Veteran's Home where they visit. I took their photo in front of a Cannon that sits out in front of the Home. The Cannon holds very special memories for many of the residents so I chose to just focus more on the Photo for the card than the wording. I just added a Merry Christmas to our Veteran Friends, Love Lucy & Sophie! (or something like that). The residents love it, and on the dementia floor, I almost started a fight because one gentleman thought another gentleman took it away from me and he was going to go beat him up. I had to get him calmed down and convince him that I gave the card to the other man. Scary moment!

I love your Halloween card though. I've been starting to think about this Christmas and what we can do, but so far haven't come up with any ideas. Better get busy though.
these are great idea's. I'm sorry I haven't checked the sight to have used those for Christmas.
