Savannah Ga Pet friendly hotels

I will be traveling with my two Doodles (mini's) to Savannah Ga for one night in May. My husband has always wanted to go to "The Lady & Sons" restaurant. Does anyone know of any good pet friendly places to stay. I have looked on "BringFido.com but just thought maybe someone might have been there and have a recommendation or even a warning to stay away from a certain place. I dont really want to pay a fortune so the places with the $100.00 pet fee really arent where Id like to go. Thanks for any help!

Hi Lori -- I use Dog Friendly.com a lot as well.  That's how we ended up coming to Flagler Beach.  We have stayed in a lot of LaQuinta's and they don't normally charge a pet fee (some franchisees don't allow pets).    Coming back this time we stayed in a Country Inn and Suites that was very pet friendly and didn't charge us a fee.  I also found on this trip by picking up one of the coupon books that they have at the rest areas we saved about $20 per night on the hotels.  You can't make an advance reservation and get that rate though.  We stayed off the interstate in Savannah on the way down and had quite a bit of trouble getting a hotel and did end up paying a pet fee of like $20.  Hotel wasn't that great either.  Have a good trip!

Sheri, I like Country Inn & Suites. They usually give you a breakfast I think.  Ill check to see if they have one in Savannah. They do have a few B&b's that accept dogs but they do all have a fee. Some fees are quite large!
