Location for a Doodle Romp?

Does anyone have suggestions for good locations for a doodle romp?

Salt Lake seems to be an accessible drive for most people in the group and so it might be a good location. There are multiple dog parks in that area. Hopefully someone from there will know which ones are good. I think we have group members from Salt Lake, Layton, Lehi, Payson, Provo and Sandy. Sandy might be more central though. Sandy built a new dog park recently that is nice, and they are in the process of building another one on the east side closer to the mountains (but I don't know when it will be completed). Is that about midway for driving distance? It would be about 50 miles or about an hour drive from Layton for me. I think it is about equal distance to Payson. Is anyone much further away?

Once we find a good location, we can start picking a good date.

There is a dog park in North Salt Lake that is a sort of nature trail, my dog LOVES to go there and sniff around, play in the water, etc. Cons, they get really really dirty. With burrs. but it might be worth it.

There is also a park called Tanners park in Holiday, that is phenomenal. It is a nature trail like the North Salt Lake one, but much wider trails and it is longer. Cons, burrs, and one of the entrances is under constructions so it's sort of hard to find.

There is a large grassy area off leash dog park in the Avenues of North Salt Lake, Big space, no burrs. cons, it's unfenced.

The Sandy one sounds nice, but I don't know when it opens either.

We'd be open to going somewhere out of Salt Lake if there was a better place. Perhaps a place less populated would have a bigger area?

Fantastic! Glad you're interested and live so close. We've been meeting at a number of different parks throughout this last year, most frequently at locations in Salt Lake and Sandy, but the next one will be in Ogden.
