WIDOG Romp Around the World

We will be romping on Sunday, April 26th at Minooka Dog Park from 1:00-4:00. Come for an afternoon of fun watching our doodles at play while meeting other owners. There is a $5.00 fee to enter the park /free with a current park sticker.

As a group we have held romps in various locations indoors and outdoors in the Madison and Milwaukee Metro area. This is our 3rd annual WIDOG Romp Around the World. April is Doodle Rescue Awareness Month. We hope you can join us in the fun.

We just joined Doodle Kisses and are looking forward to meeting new friends. We'd like to attend your WIDOG Romp Around the World. We live in Willams Bay next to Lake Geneva so Waukesha is a great location. Will the dog park
be reserved for the romp or will there be other dogs around? Divot loves to play with oither dogs. He goes to day care once a week just for fun.

Hi Missy & Bob, Minooka is a huge fenced dog park. We do not reserve the area so all dogs are welcome. We have used an area within the dog park to gather the doodles and people. When entering the fenced area from the parking lot, we go to right and use that portion of the park to meet, greet and romp. Just look for our WIDOG signs to direct you. Oh shoot!!! Ken and I will be on our way to Savannah Georgia that weekend! We had a nagging feeling it might work out that way. I'm really bummed! I wish they were more often than just spring and fall!!

Great idea Jen! We can definitely meet and romp more often! We are also open to suggestions for different locations. In the past we have been in Madison, Johnson Creek, Verona, Franklin, North Lake, Waukesha, and Theinsville. Have car, will travel with doodle. LOL!

That would be wonderful! I've heard that Verona's dog park is wonderful. One of my coworkers has a golden retriever and she says she's been to many and it's her favorite. I know a few folks from town here with doodles who would likely get involved. I'll pass on the info to them for the one in April.

It was probably about two years ago that we had a romp at the Verona dog park on a VERY hot day. It is a nice park but at that time there were not any facilities for the humans. That has probably changed by now though.
