- About Me:
- We're a working couple who wanted a dog that we could share our life with. "Divot" gets to go to our offices with us plus spend a day at day care every week. He is so well adjusted and good we can take him anywhere, including flying to Grandma's for Christmas.
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- We have a Golden Doodle, "Divot". His mother is Chloe and his father is Caesar from Golden Doodle Acres in Neenah, WI. He was born on 7/28/07 and now weighs 60 lbs. He is the most loving, fun, smart dog we could ever imagine and has been a wonderful addition to our family.
- Where did you get your doodle(s)?
- Breeder
- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- We had been researching breeds and were looking for a medium size dog, with low shedding, that would be easy to train but not require extensive activity. We had never heard of doodles until a friend got a puppy. They have all the characteristics we wanted on top of being so cute.
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- Playing with him, cuddling, going for walks, taking him visiting with friends and family, and just hanging out. Training classes have been a great experience for all of us.He has his AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate and we plan to certifiy him for Therapy Dogs International.
- Does your doodle(s) shed?
- A little bit but nothing major
- Who grooms your doodle(s)?

- Balls, and anything that squeaks or you can play tug-of war with.

Chipmunks!

Chipmunk hunting in the hosta bushes is now Divot's favorite activity. Squirrels have taken second place. He even pulled off the drain spout trying to get the chipmunk out. We don't think he would know what to do if he ever caught one.
We can't even whisper the word, chipmunk. They are called CM's.

Memorial Day Event

We took Divot to the Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony in Lake Geneva. We are so proud of him. He did such a good job of handling the crowds and noise. He was mostly curious and just stood or sat quietly beside us the whole time. The drums in the marching band and the rifle salute really got his attention but he didn't show any signs of being
nervous or frightened. After the festivities we took Divot into the Paws For Treats store to pick out a yummy treat.

Oops, just noticed the date on your post so maybe this is way outdated as far as my question.
I noticed that you fly with your dog and was wondering if you are comfortable with flying it in the pressurized area in the plane. Our vet told us they send dogs all of the time with no issues and have no problems doing that. We would be doing a 3 hour direct flight.
