I would love to get some feedback on my personal writing website--go ahead, I can take criticism...be gentle!  I started this site when my husband lost his job a year ago--no he STILL has not found a new one despite all these months of actively trying--and I was out of control with trying to handle all my emotions while keeping a smile on my face for the children's sake and trying not to over-burden my husband with my hysteria.  All comments most welcome! http://www.thoughtsinprint.weebly.com

Hi Lisa! I finally had a chance to go to your website tonight and read all of your posts. I absolutely love your writing. You have a "voice" that's clear and honest and keeps the reader interested. Have you considered writing a nonfiction book?

My only critique, if I really needed to come up with one, would be to try to avoid putting things in parenthesis (like this) and quotes. I'm guilty of doing this a lot, too. It can be a bit distracting. And sometimes it throws off the rhythm of the sentence. BTW, the "two spaces after a period" rule changed a few years back. Now it's just one space. I was shocked when I discovered this! And man, that's a hard habit to break. :)

I'd like to follow your blog, but can't seem to do it using Google Reader. I wonder if it's because of it being created on Weebly? Do you know if there's a way to "follow" it?

I hope your unemployment situation has improved. I'm rooting for you guys. Regardless, keep writing! You have a real gift for it!

Wow!  thanks for the very constructive criticism and advice.  I am the Queen of Parenthesis as I generally speak with sidebar as well.  It is a hard habit to break.  Interestingly, I had not considered this a blog as, by definition, a blog needs to be updated more frequently.  There is a way to blog on weebly and I might consider doing so in the future.

Unfortunatey, the unemployment situation has not changed and seems to show no signs of doing so in the imediate future though I hope I am terribly wrong about that.  The children are understandably growing more concerned each day and we are plagued with questions about what to do next.

Again, thank you for your insight!  I really appreciate it.

Sorry for my delayed response.  I always forget to hit "follow" when I comment on something. Derrr....

I don't ever remember the unemployment situation in our country being this dire. I live in LV, and our economy has been hit extremely hard. I think our construction and real estate industries were hit the hardest. What kind of work does your husband enjoy doing?

I realize this was posted months ago...but I'm really interested in reading your writing!!...but the website link is not working for me :-( Is it me, or did you take the website down?
Hmmmm.... I just tried it, too, and it looks like it's down. Do you enjoy writing Lindsey?
