I've always enjoyed writing. One of my goals is to self-publish at least two or more books this year. I'm stating this so you can hold me accountable - lol!I belong to several writing groups. Many…Continue

Hi Sarina,
Congratulations on your soon to be released book! How exciting!!! Be sure to let us know when it debuts.
I'll stop by your Facebook page and do a friend request. :)
I am a writer and my labradooodle, Andy, keeps me company all day while I sit with my laptopDSC_0765.JPG I would love you all to visit my blog:www.sadiecarrieri.com and or my Facebook page: Sarina Rostek (Sadie Carrieri). My debut book will be out in December 2014 on Amazon. It's called The Relentless Englishman. Oh boy, He is a charmer.
Is anyone else doing NaNoWriMo? That's National Novel Writing Month!
I am doing it and am really enjoying it so far, day 2---it's free. Look online to learn more if you haven't heard of it.
I'm so sorry to hear that your older brother has cancer. :( I'm sure that your entire family is enjoying the "memories" that you are gathering, and will cherish this book!
Thank you Linda! I am the only one in our family that remembers the fun, funny, cute and wonderful things. I already shared the first chapter with my siblings and mother. My older brother has cancer and it is making him happy to read these things. My mother is 87 and she just loves reading my memories. I know my writings need refinement but I think it is what my family needs. My great nieces and nephews don't know about our family the way they know my brother-in-laws family. I just need to stay focused and keep writing. I am thinking I will get the push I need by associating with other writers. Thanks for having this group!
Your family will cherish it, Kathy!
Talk about synchronicity.... I just met a woman who has a book coming out in a couple months called, "Get Creative With Your Family History." She takes you step by step through the process of how to organize and preserve family memories to share with your siblings, children, etc. :)
I hope I can learn a lot from this group. I am writing a book for my family about the fun, nice, and learning times we had in our youth. I could write a lot of hard things but I want to help my siblings specifically to feel happier for thinking back on our life. I want to give this gift to my Mother to help her see that she did a good job raising 4 children alone on a nurses salary.
Thanks.
Hi Shoney & Ruby,
It sounds like a fun project! Is your novel a story that you're starting on from scratch and plan to finish within 30 days? I can only imagine how challenging that would be!
Hi--we get our doodle in December--a female puppy named Ruby.
I am a writer with an MFA--have published short stories and co-edited a book [Women Runners: Stories of Transformation]. I've decided to take part in National Novel Writing Month [free, online, look it up if you haven't heard of it---pretty cool].
Anyone else in this group taking part in NaNoWriMo?
Shoney
