Adina, Not sure if it will be a spring or summer trip.  It depends on if we tent camp or stay in hotels and when Mike can get time off.  We could have a big old doodle romp!  Wouldn't it be fun for like a 2 day event!  I can hope, can't I?   It would be great to meet all of you!  I'll keep you informed.

Gina, Mike is probably on DK just as much, if not more than I am.  He is starting to get to know the names of the people and their doodles.  He does all of the reading, research etc. for photography, then he shows me.  I like it that way!  He's much better at action photos than I am and I like close up or portrait type photography.  I get frustrated because I can't read the settings on the cameras without my glasses.  Do you think I have my glasses with me when we're shooting?  Nope, they're at home and not on my face.  : )

When might this fun trip take place next year?  We definitely plan on road-tripping south next year and we had fun the last time we stopped in Vegas (though that was a flight so no dogs) and meeting DK friends!  It would be great fun to meet more!

That would be great, even if you make it to a neighboring state, I am always up for a road trip.  The dogs love to travel.

Thanks for yours and Mikes encouragement with the photography.  I am finally feeling more confident getting off of the preset dial and have started using the A priority.  I could have never gotten these really wonderful indoor christmas photos using the presets, and the darn flash going off all day :)

I am glad Mike has become such a great DK friend like you.  It is really wonderful that you two share so much in common and enjoy working on things together.

Gina, not sure if I mentioned it to you or someone else.  We want to head west next year for a vacation.  I'll work on Mike and try to talk him into a Vegas Vacation and we would love to meet the CA folks too!  (I just had this vision of Duke breaking free in Vegas and wreaking havoc on the Vegas strip.)  lol

Mike told me last night that he thought you have moved up to a higher level in your photography, I agree!

OMG...I though landing on my butt was bad enough but landing on your face?!?!  That's terrible!  Glad you're OK!

Wouldn't that be great to all meet up?  We do it with our CA DK friends!  There are even a few more hotels on the strip accepting dogs.  Vegas is a pretty dog friendly place, and if ours get along, I wouldn't even mind dog sitting :)

As for the photography, I would be honored to take your family photo, but I would be the one asking for pointers from you and Mike LOL

I always keep an eye on the running dogs!  One time before Kona, Buddy ran right at me and swerved, but the big German Shepard behind him could not.  Up went my legs and I landed face down on the ground.  Since then, I am super aware :)

OK, packing my bag now, Gina!  : )   Some day I'm hoping we'll make it to your area, with the doods.  We would love to meet all of you!  Hmmm, maybe we could talk you into taking a family photo and giving us some pointers on photography.

Be careful!!!  I've been knocked down by them twice while they were playing and Duke hit me from behind once at full speed and I landed on my tailbone!!  *shuddering*

Trading places, I don't think so, but we can be here together, even more fun!  I grew up in WI, I really like that I only have to deal with snow now when I want to :)

Little Kona actually taught Buddy how to body slam, I think she might regret that at times LOL  She get's the best of him in the house, but he takes full advantage outside.  Sometimes that scares me as he takes a running start to plow her.  Sometimes I get in between, and sometimes Kona actually hides behind me!  She is a smart cookie!

Sometimes the body slamming makes me cringe!!!  Sheba has plowed Duke into the fence, garage and the car!  Ouch!  How about we trade places, Gina? I'd love to spend some time in your area...without the snow and cold! The dogs LOVE the snow and don't want to come in from the snow, especially Sheba.

Me too, me too!  I love the snarly sounds they make and the face biting and body slamming LOL  These photos are precious, I can't wait to make it to the snow again.

Yes, I know what you mean! It's so much fun for us, as well!
