Precious Doods! Zeus goes nuts when he sees squirrels, rabbits, or cats in person, and every single 4-legged animal he sees on TV. He developed this after I brought him home as a puppy. The only way I can make him stop is to hold him by his collar to get his attention and say "No." He'll then stop and I pet him or rub his belly for a few minutes as his reward and also to keep his attention on me.
I really don't think it'd be a good idea to hook Eli up to a bike because she's large and appears strong enough to flip the bike over and cause severe (or even fatal) injury to the rider.
Bike Buddies!
I haven't hear positive things about the bike-tow leash. I did some research, ask some bike specialists. Have you tried them? Our re homed Elli loves to run, but goes absolutely bezerk when she sees a critter...She had this terrible issue when she came to us, so I have no idea how the problem developed over the 6 or so years she was with other owners. Unfortunately the behavior is deeply ingrained and I have not been able to get the tazmanian devil response toned down so it is manageable. ..and she has been with us 18 months now. No treats, no commands phase her when she is in this trance. Otherwise, she is a wonderful, loving, sweet girl...I truly wish I could use one of these tow leashes.
Reminds me of some photos we have. This path would be perfect for a bike-tow leash. Have you ever tried one?
Thank-you Linda, Charlie Brown & Beau,
Love this photo!
