Not at all with Hercules. He's never chewed on anything but food. He won't even wound his stuffies - just loves on them and almost always has one in his mouth. But, yes, he does mat easily with really long hair. I try to keep it 2-3" long, which eliminates brushing other than once every 4-5 weeks at the groomer.

AWE! does he mat easily too? Before doodles, my sister and I were looking into both getting a PWD, but everything we read said they were BIG time wood chewers... did you find that to be true?
