This photo looks so much like my Kramer, even the way the legs are splayed out in front. How old was your pup here?

Luca is a medium and weighs about 41lbs. Both my dogs will bark when they hear real or imagined "bogey men". Luca then will greet anyone with enthusiasm so I don't think he'd intimidate a flea, calla, also a medium but maybe a small standard to some is a bit shy. So she'll continue to bark at strangers and maybe the stranger will be fooled into thinking she's fierce. Luca is free to roam around at night so he's often next to my pillow in the morning. He is a wise soul in a dog body. I do understand about your boxer. My son and his standard poodle came to live with me and the poodle stayed. Not too long after, Rex was found to have widespread cancer and he only lasted a month or so more before we had to end his suffering.

Lona,
Your doodle will be your protector. Just wait. I wish mine were a little less protective sometimes. He used to run under the bed too.
I agree, boxers are great Sweet Story.
And Yes, F. Parker is as great as her dogs.

What a beautiful companion this one is. Is this Luca? Is he a standard or a medium labradoodle? I'm just so hungry to learn everything about them. I was a boxer lover. The love of my life was my male boxer who protected me, traveled with me, went to work with me, slept on the foot of my bed. He was my support, the reason I was never afraid at night. I lost him in one day, with no warning. I took him to the vet thinking that he was getting arthritis (9 yrs old). They sedated him for xrays, came out and asked me to please not let him wake up as he had a massive tumor over ALL of his internal organs. It broke my heart. I did some heavy grieving and it was hard, I even had to "borrow" my sons boxer to live with me for a while. But I had severe breathing problems and was mildly allergic to dogs so I found this breed. My breathing is so much better, and I love my little guy. I just would like for him to get a large as a boxer. Mine weighed 65 pounds, but I think that Bogart might get that tall, as he may not be as muscular. I'm just curious. I'm hoping that Bogart will become protective of me too. He barked at a man who came to the door last Saturday, and then ran under the bed!!
