About Me:

Well lets see...I've just recently moved back to the mainland from Hawaii. I lived on the beautiful island of Oahu for the last two and half years. I have settle back down in Eastern NC for the time being. I have two wonderful daughters; 13 and 7 years old who keep me on my toes at all times. I'm currently separated and trying to adjust to life as I know it now.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!

I have a beautiful, sweet and energetic F1 Goldendoodle. Her mother is pure breed Golden Retriever and her father is pure breed standard Poodle. She was born on December 22, 2012 in Kaneohe, HI which is on the island of Oahu. Her name is Kiko, which means spot in Hawaiian. While living in Hawaii (have only been in NC for a month now), Kiko loved doing two things; going to the beach and riding in our 74' Volkswagen Beetle! Every morning and every afternoon she would ride with me to pick my girls up from school. Even the Marines at the gate knew her by name:) She also enjoyed going to the beach as much as possible. She is definitely my little beach bum. In addition, to these things she also enjoyed the occasional trip to the dog park to meet and socialize with new friends.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?

I am allergic to a dogs dander and from past experience the only dog were I didn't have a reaction to was a poodle. When my family was ready to get a dog, I did a lot of research on hypoallergenic dogs and the majority seemed to be little dogs which is not what we wanted. There the Goldendoodles and Labadoodles caught my eye and I continued my research. During this same time I was looking for breeders and was lucky enough to find a litter very close to me. We went to look at her and it was love at first sight:)

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?

Playing at the beach
Going on walks
Playing fetch (she loves retrieving)
Oh, and snuggling:)
