Merry Christmas Bette, Obie & Mike! It was great to "hear" from you, Bette and I'm sorry it's taken me a bit to get back to you. I came down with that nasty cold that's been going around and I've been in bed mostly, but I seem to be feeling better, FINALLY, tonight. How horrible for you to be knocked down at a dog park, they really do seem to be dangerous at times. I'm so glad you are mending; you really must've taken a bad hit! Don't worry for one second about Obie's behavior! He was perfect! A total joy! Steven likes lots of attention from all the Doodles, that's why he always brings treats - Steven just loves the dogs - I really think we should have a second one. I ended up having two corrective sinus surgeries and I think I'm through the worst of it. So it's all so much better now; thank you for asking!  I do hope we will be able to see you again soon at another Doodle romp; Obie is such a total sweetheart, I love his energy!! Good Morning Bette! Are you and Obie ready for May? Wow, how the heck did I miss most of April anyway? It's nice of you to keep in touch, I appreciate your warm thoughts. Looks like I have to have another cat scan to discover the complications arising from the surgery and the next course of action to correct them. I'm determined to get this FINISHED! Thanks so much for your compliments on Sammi! Steven and I put in a lot of hours weekly to keep his long coat de-matted and brushed out, plus we have a WONDERFUL groomer (Shelly at Wiggles and Wags) who does the rest every couple of months. I found an excellent brush online at "The Doodle Country Store" called "Les Pooches" and I bought it in two sizes. It's made in Germany and a bit expensive, but it really gets through the hair and down to the skin to prevent the matting/tangling. The other tool we use is a de-matting comb, which takes some getting used to working with, but it's also amazing. Geez, "I sound" like a commercial, sorry! Anyway, Sammi loves the attention (brushing) and he watches tv with Steven while Steven brushes him, which is quite comical to see. Does Obie liked to get brushed? Some dogs seem to take to it while other dogs hate it. I can just picture Obie with this pilfered ball playing keep away, what a total hoot! I'm sorry I missed it. Obie's such a GREAT Doodle with personality PLUS! Hope Obie has some special plans for you on Mother's day. Take good care of yourself! Summer Smiles

Hi Bette & Obie, Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughts! Sorry I haven't been able to respond back to your message 'til now, it's just kinda taking longer than I expected to get back up to par, argh. But it's getting better and I'm up and around more. Steven said he got to talk with you and play with Obie a bit at the romp. I got to watch the short video that Steven took and it looked like all the Doodles were having a GREAT time! Seemed like it was a smaller group than in January. Hope all is well with you. I look forward to seeing you & Obie again at a future romp! Summer Smiles

Good Morning Bette & Obie, I'm not going to be able to make the Doodle Romp this weekend, however I am trying to talk my husband, Steven, into going with Sammi. I have to have surgery tomorrow; blocked sinuses, la. I'll miss being able to visit with you and Obie; hopefully there will be another romp soon. Summer Smiles!!
