About Me:: A new Golden Doodle in my home is an exciting challenging adventure. Her Name is Hope which is a name I gave her because I want to train her as a Therapy Dog Taking her to retirement/extended care facilities and hospitals is my goal.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: Also, in my household I have three Russian Blue cats all special needs. They are like my family; the loves of my life!

Where did you get your doodle(s)?: Breeder

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: Well, I understood them to be easily trained (that was a NOT) and, their love of the human-and, of course cuteness!
p.s. now, 6mos later I am wondering where I did my research . . . . Hope is so smart but oh so stubborn!

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Play catch, hug & hold her (when possible), long walks, Doodle Romps

Does your doodle(s) shed?: A little bit but nothing major, Nope!

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: me - so far

Favorite Doodle Products?: anything that squeeks, rawhide chews, my arms (which is a huge problem at the moment)

Relationship Status:: Single

Hope & I are getting better

Just wanted to let all your awesome supporters Hope is doing better. As in, I am giving her 'time out' when she starts the biting, nipping, etc. Sometimes it is difficult to capture her before I get bit but I am hoping she is starting to understand! We do many of the suggestions that have been given to me including the freezer wash cloth which is such a help! Also, restricting her to certain areas not allowing her to run about the entire house & outside areas has also helped. I still only… Continue

Hope is an adorable Golden Doodle (lil devil in a cute costume). She is 3mos old (07.18.2011) and, out of control. I have cried myself to sleep trying to figure out what to do with her.

He will be 5 in July but acts more like an 8-month old. He is very friendly and active and can be quite a handful at times but settles down after rather quickly after his initial excitement. The breeder is bringing several puppies to PDX on the 14th to fly away to their new homes, and is also bringing the puppies going to Portland area homes. Don't know what time I'm meeting Rochelle at the airport yet, but I can't wait! Puppy (still haven't decided on a name yet) was born on August 15 so will just be starting into her 9th week when I get her.

I really want to be sure my little one is properly socialized and has some four-legged friends. There are only a few dogs in our neighborhood so not a lot of options there. She arrives on 10/14 and per the breeder's recommendation, I will let her settle in get used to her new home and "pack" for a week, and then she should be ready to venture out and meet some new people and other dogs!
