- My husband and I will be getting our first Mini Goldendoodle come June or July and just camoving from AZ to VA (right outside of D.C.) in April and don't know alot of people.n't wait to get started making connections, learning training and grooming tips and connecting with other Goldendoodle owners, especially ones in our area as we are new to the area.

- We needed a hypoalergenic dog but wanted a medium to larger size vs. a small, fragile lap dog. And they are just so Adorable!

Saw your message to the NOVA Doodles Group! We also live in Alexandria about 7 minutes from Old Town near Alexandria Hospital. We have been using VCA Alexandria Animal Hospital for years for our Doodle. All of the Vets there are just great. http://www.vcahospitals.com/alexandria We really love Dr. Talbot but have had good interactions with all the vets there. If you haven't thought about it... you may want to think about getting VPI Pet insurance especially if you are going to spade/neuter your puppy. Lots of shots in the first year plus that procedure...the insurance pays for itself the first year basically... My husband and I organize the NOVA Doodles group and we have monthly romps in the Fall/Winter/Spring... we aren't too good with the summer months but by fall your pup will be ready to play with the bigger doodles! Welcome to Doodlekisses Brittney. Always great to welcome another local member. Have fun meeting everyone and exploring a great site. So what part of Alexandria are you moving to? You'll find Alexandria is one of the most dog friendly towns around. I love taking our two for walks around Old Town Alexandria whenever possible. Lots of the restaurants in Alexandria have outdoor tables and are dog friendly.
