Thank you, Siena! Your puppy is adorable, too!
I came to your page to check out where you live and Seattle is listed but you say in your profile that you live in Europe. Back and forth? Or are you really living in Seattle now. I also have lived all over the world but we are in the greatest place now - the central coast of California. My son lives in Seattle and is a glass blower. Your puppy is just darling. Keep adding photos.
Siena ~ I love that name. So much so in fact my email address is Siennarose46@gmail. Velcro is cute and this is the first I have heard it as a puppy's name!
Hello ~ your new little puppy is so very cute! Is Siena her name or yours? When you get a chance be sure to check out the groups section at the top of the main page and join as many as you like. There is also a Pacific NW Doodle group (I see you are in Seattle), but I do not know how active it is. I lived there over 20 years and we are now living east of the Mountains in Richland.
Your puppy is just a baby and biting is not an aggressive act on the puppy's part - she is just trying to hold on, just like she did when playing with her siblings in litter. The key to stopping it is not to make a drama out of it. Just give a little yelp when she bites, then move away. If she chases after you or grabs at your pant legs, calmy pick her up and put her in crate or other gated area. She will get the idea rather quickly that biting is not going to be tolerated by the pack leader. If this is your first puppy I would suggest the book The Puppy Listener by Jan Fennell - it was a big help to me when I got my first puppy. Welcome to Doodle Kisses!
