I am a first year medical student at Des Moines University College of Medicine and I am soo excited to welcome a new puppy into my home! Growing up, my family and I always had dogs and when I moved off to college, it was a big part of my life that was missing. So now that I am on my own, I am ready to bring a dog into my life and give it all the attention and love it deserves! :-)

Whew! Sorry that was so long! I just know that it would have helped to know how the process was going to go when I was getting ready to choose. Christine is so patient and helpful. Plus with this litter you really can't go wrong! Can't wait to hear who you choose!!! Good luck!
Oh my gosh the countdown is on!!! You must be so excited! Oscar is the great but I am sure that I am biased! I really couldn't have ordered a better dog for our family. About choosing day..... I had first choice of the males but there were only four to choose from. You have better odds! I went knowing what my top picks were. Christine was AMAZING during the choosing process. We started out with all 4 in the choosing area and then she asked if there were any of them that I knew I was NOT going to choose. There was one that looked much more like a poodle than the others so she took him out and put him back. One of the other ones was very vocal so I told her she could put him back too. Then it was down to my original two choices (blue-Oscar and black-now known as Angus!). The temp. tests had me stumped because they had Angus as a much better choice. Oscar must not have cooperated well during test time because he didn't score very well. He wouldn't let her put him on his back and a few of his responses made her think he had a more dominant personality. I was REALLY having a hard time deciding. Christine let me see the two of them together, then each alone, then each alone AGAIN. Oscar let me hold him like a baby a bit and was just playful enough for what I was hoping for my kids. He didn't seem strong willed or anything. Christine was also able to talk to me about their coat type. She said of the two Oscar was less likely to shed and be more wavy all over. Angus was sooooo sweet and lovable but I had to go with my first choice from the very beginning. I would listen to the test results but don't count anyone out based on them until you see how they act with you. Oscar STILL lets me hold him like a baby! tee hee I loved watching them play with toys and eachother when I visited. I would see which ones seem to play okay away from the group and pay attention to you instead of just eachother.
The new pictures are adorable! Black boy looks the most like Oscar so far then next would be dark green boy... It is so hard to tell, they are all so cute! I don't see any of them that look more curly like a poodle. We had one in our litter that was really curly. Did you find out where you fall in the choosing? That day is goiong to be here before you know it!!!
Oscar is a huge furry bear right now. I am going to have to break down soon and get him trimmed. I am so nervous though! I don't want them to cut his face too short. His coat is changing some. He is losing his puppy coat. He isn't really shedding but more comes out when I brush him than usual. I hope his coat stays wavy. I guess you never know what their coat will look like at maturity, especially the first generation doodles. He's so mysterious! tee hee At least we know they will have great personalities!
