- About Me:
- I am retired, happily married to my wonderful husband, and enjoying life here in Williamsburg, Virginia. I call it the Rainbow & Unicorn Belt, ha ha. I love to read, listen to jazz and world music, do Pilates, and walk with my BFF. My husband and I have a small group of family and friends here, and we like to hang out, get together for meals, and enjoy amusing field trips.
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- We picked up our 8-week old female blue merle F1 mini Aussiedoodle, Dash, in late September 2016. We are so excited to welcome a wonderful little addition to our pack! We've always had shelter dogs. This time we are giving ourselves the gift of a healthy, non-traumatized 8-week old puppy. Dash has a wonderful temperament and she is so smart! Our dog Tommy is a red Jindo, weighs about 50 lbs, and recently turned 16. He is a beautiful, calm, gentle dog, very independent, and doing pretty well. He loves his 30 min daily walk; he has a good appetite. He has brought much joy into our lives. Dash keeps him on his toes!
- Where did you get your doodle(s)?

- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- F1 Aussiedoodles are low- to no shedding, very smart, highly trainable, loyal, confident and let's face it, totally adorable. They come in a miniature size; Dash will be around 30 lbs as an adult. They need a lot of mental & physical activity. Aussiedoodles have wonderful temperaments.
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- I love training our mini Aussiedoodle (Go Kikopup!), playing interactive games with her, going on walks with her, and brushing her. Socialization activities have been so much fun! We start a S.T.A.R. puppy class this month.
- Does your doodle(s) shed?
- Nope!
- Who grooms your doodle(s)?
- So far I do, but I must find a real groomer!
- Favorite Doodle Products?
- A Snuffle Mat (search on Pam Anderson dog training) - it's fabulous!

Our First (and Last) Puppy from a Breeder

My husband and I have had shelter dogs all our lives but this time around, we decided to give ourselves the "gift" of a lovingly raised 8-week old puppy. We decided to purchase an 8-week old F1 mini Aussiedoodle pup from a breeder. Although our puppy is wonderful, we had a terrible experience with the breeder in spite of doing extensive research beforehand. We'll never purchase from a breeder again. More about that later...

Welcome! Adding a puppy to the family is always fun! I love the merle color! I think there is a group called "waiting for new puppies" or something like that you can join before you get your doodle. Have Fun, and good luck with your new puppy!
