What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!

Goldendoodle "Romeo" is my first dog ever (I was always a cat's person before). He just turned one year old (August '08). He's already 62 pounds, leaps like a deer, kisses like the lover he's named for, and is my best friend. He's been a great "therapy dog," as I've continued to recover from being shot at the Jewish Federation two years ago (July '08). Romeo's puppy coat was apricot, but now he's mainly cream-colored, with apricot in his tail, head-top, ear and leg joints. He's so handsome and cute!

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?

I was looking for a low/non-shedder, due to pet-hair allergies. I started looking at labradoodles online, and discovered goldenddoodles and fell in love.

I found Romeo (he found me) at AnniesDoodles.com, a wonderful family breeder in Ferndale, Wash. (a couple of minutes north of Bellingham)

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?

Play! Go to the beach! Take walks and enjoy people's admiration of my beautiful, happy, friendly, fluffy, soft dog.

Does your doodle(s) shed?

A little bit but nothing major

Who grooms your doodle(s)?

Me and my groomer. She taught me how to brush his coat between groomings to reduce matting, so we can return to the "natural" look.

Favorite Doodle Products?

Toys! Chuck-its, chew toys, soft toys for throwing and catching mid-air in the house.
Rolled-leather collar that reduces neck matting a lot!
Kongs--Romeo isn't "food crazy" since he learned to eat by getting his kibbles to come out of a Kong.
