About Me:: Own my own digital marketing and design agency, originally from NYC/CT, my wife is from DC, and we've lived here since 1997. First kid expected December 2010. We're dog crazy. We have to meet every dog we see, everywhere. Our fear isn't that we'll ignore the dog when the baby comes, but that we'll still be obsessed with the dog and won't realize Cooper stole all her socks.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: Cooper! Medium Australian Doodle, brown and shaggy, 30lbs (or 50lbs after walking in the rain).

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: Bad experience with the only other dog I ever owned, who was from a shelter. 4 years of intense training and "rehab" to cure her of aggression was a killer of our lives. Once we found her a loving rural home, we decided to play it safe and get a service-dog bred dog for our next pup. However, my penance for ordering a dog rather than rescuing one is giving ~$2k/year to the ASPCA.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Belly rubs! Snuggles at night (after the zoomies are over) on the couch, and have playdates with the neighbor's doodle. I love taking him to Lowes - everyone there knows him, even some of the customers, and we can never get out of there in less than an hour, since we meet everyone who walks by. Guilty pleasure - sleeping in the guest bed when my wife is sick or having trouble sleeping - Cooper is allowed on the guest bed, so it's a treat for both of us.

I came across your blog today and was thrilled to see that you have a pup from Eddie. I adopted Eddie from Manorlake 2 years ago when they retired him. He is an absolute dream! I can see the resemblance between the two. I'm new to DoodleKisses but I will try to upload more pictures in the near future. So much fun to see some of Eddie's offspring! We live near the Jersey Shore and he absolutely loves the beach. He also loves socks and the tennis ball! Such a great dog on the leash and loves the car. I can take him anywhere and he's happy as can be. Enjoy those pups! Kate
