Hey Donna,

Did you find a home for your sweet labradoodle? DRC can take him if not.

Thanks.

Deb

Hi Donna! How are you guys? How is Oliver doing? Bax is well- turned 1 in march.... and we just had him neutered (he was NOT happy about it!). We finished our Advanced class with melody- but really need to work on his skills before taking the therapy dog test. Now that the weather is nicer- i plan on going to more dog parks etc.... would love to see you guys! I know you told me you do all of Oliver's grooming- but do you know anyone is good with grooming doodles? I took him to petsmart but wasnt happy with the results... just too "poodley". Let me know!

Virginia and Bax!

I agree with your comment about missing your dogs if you had to leave them at home! That's great that you get to take them to the outer banks. I was there probably 27 years ago. I'll bet it has changed soooo much!!
We are planning a short trip to West Virginia in June. We'll be there for a couple of days but I don't think I'll be able to take the dogs with me. : ( In July or September we are planning a trip out West and we are planning on taking the dogs with us. Thanks for the compliments on our pictures. Hope you had a wonderful Easter!!

Honestly we've only been to Ft. DeSoto and Bonita Springs Dog Beach. We may head back to Bonita this summer. I really enjoyed Bonita Dog Beach the most. There was 1 way out of the beach area and it was easy to keep an eye on the dogs plus it suited both dogs as Sheba loves the water and loves to swim. Bonita also has little tide pools that Duke can play in since he isn't a big swimmer. I think he felt more comfortable at Bonita. I like Ft. DeSoto a lot but Duke was trying to escape constantly! The sand was really pretty and so was the water. My cousin lives in the St. Augustine area in Florida. Instead of Bonita Springs we may head to St. Augustine. I need to ask her or research any dog beaches in that area. Do you take your dogs with you on vacation often?

I enjoyed looking at your pictures and your doodles are adorable! I commented on your Ft. DeSoto picture. I have some pictures from Ft. DeSoto on my page. There is an album titled Rompin with Linda, Yankee & Finn 12/28/09 if you'd like to check them out. We stayed in the Bonita Springs Beach area close to Naples. There is a dog beach there also. (There is an album for Bonita Beach too.) What did you think of Ft. DeSoto? Did you go to any other dog beaches while you were in Florida?

You will love having two. They really engage each other, tire each other out, then curl up and sleep... love it! Let me know if I can help you out with Kramer. I'll email my contact info separately. So sorry to read about your back... I had no idea. So many doodle parents are having medical issues... you all need to be well to romp this Spring!!

HI Donna, Molly and Abby are a good combination of rough and tumble and laid back. They have the command settle, which means stop wrestling and sit. Abby is a therapy dog, Molly is more of a velcro dog.
We are spending most of this winter in Pennsylvania, still waiting for our first snow. We got flurries for 5 minutes this morning. Both dogs love playing in the snow....
